Restauranteur delivers wine country dining experience, complete with authentic tasting room, artisanal market and Wine Club on the east coast.
The Napa-style winery and restaurant originating in the mid-west, Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant, opens its fourth South Florida establishment in Pembroke Pines, following the Doral, Coconut Creek and Palm Beach Gardens openings.
Reminiscent of those visits to Napa Valley, the tasting room and wine shop at Cooper’s Hawk quickly transports you to those memorable moments vacationing in wine country, driving from winery to winery. The sense of exploration – of something warmly familiar – kicks in immediately upon entering the restaurant.
The tasting room embraces the rich Napa feel, while the clerestory windows give a sense of openness and grandeur to the artisan market and extra-long tasting bar. It’s the perfect ambiance to unwind and explore Cooper’s Hawk award winning, handcrafted variations of whites, reds and sparkling wines before sitting down to a savory meal.
Inspiration for the décor is, rightfully so, influenced by the craft of wine-making, including a textured cork wall in the main bar. Wood tones are tastefully mixed with artwork crafted from reclaimed barrels to reinforce the restaurants signature DNA. In addition to the award winning handcrafted wines including Cooper’s Hawk Lux Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Meritage, Merlot, Pino Noir and Blanc de Blanc, the wine menu also includes international wines from Spain, Italy and Australia.
“We are thrilled to be a part of the brand-new Pines City Center,” said Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants, CEO and Founder, Tim McEnery. “We believe that food and wine bring people together and build lasting connections. We are looking forward to being a cornerstone of the vibrant Pembroke Pines community.”
40-year-old McEnery bootstrapped a winery, restaurant and a full-fledged retail operation with over $220 million in annual revenue. He started out in hospitality at the age of 11, and slowly worked his way through the ranks to prove that the American dream still exists. Today, the 125,000-square foot winery in Woodridge, IL, produces over five million bottles of wine per year to supply over 30 Cooper’s Hawk restaurants.
There’s more, Cooper’s Hawk Wine Club, with over 300,000 loyal members to date and growing, allows fans to enjoy the CH spirit from home. The Club was designed for wine aficionados who love to explore, share and pair new wines with bold flavors to create memorable moments at home. Have your Club bottles brought to your table at the restaurant, or get them shipped to your home, either way The Club is all about convenience and service.
Membership comes with many perks and benefits including the opportunity to pre-order the popular Winemaker’s Barrel Reserve Bordeaux-style blend to ensure your stash for the year. Still other benefits include exclusive international and domestic wine country experiences organized by Cooper’s Hawk, insider tasting notes and chef recipes, invitations to private monthly dinners, tasting, rewards and even more extra special treats.
The secret to Cooper’s Hawk popularity is the winning trifecta – a modern, upscale dining experience, smart menu based on quality ingredients and value. Dishes are redefined to offer modern American classics infused with international flavors. And as a bonus, the menu includes wine pairing bin numbers created by Cooper’s Hawk in-house Master Sommelier, Emily Wines, to help guests select the perfect wine for each entree.
Some mouth-watering dishes created by Executive Chef Matt McMillin include the Candied Bacon & Artisan Cheeses with Honeycomb, Black Fig Jam and Grilled Polenta Crostini paired with a Lux Sparkling for starters, the Ginger Soy Glazed Center Cut NY Strip with Wasabi-Buttered Mashed and Oven-Roasted Vegetables paired with Bin 89 – Cooper’s Hawk Lux Cabernet Sauvignon as the main course, and the Lemon Ice Wine Cheesecake with Macerated Berries and Toasted Graham Crackers paired with Bin 63 – Cooper’s Hawk Lux Ice Wine for dessert.
All this, and a friendly mid-west hospitality too!
