THE GILDED GARDEN
Each year, the highly anticipated Objets Nomades Exhibition by LOUIS VUITTON unveils the master works of renowned designers from around the world. This year, the innovative Japanese designer and artist Tokujin Yoshioka joined the elite group of designers who have had the honor to collaborate with LOUIS VUITTON in the past. Yoshioka, whose works are exhibited in the permanent collections of globally recognized museums such as the Museum of Modern Art and Cooper Hewitt National Designer museum in New York, as well as museums in Paris, London and Germany, created the Blossom Stool as part of the 2016 Objets Nomades collection for LOUIS VUITTON. Taking inspiration from the signature Louis Vuitton flower motif logo, the Blossom Stool will transform any space into a luxurious garden.
Yoshioka has designed unique creations over the past 20+ years for prestigious brands across a wide spectrum of categories including fashion, architecture, automobiles, telecommunications, décor and jewelry to name a few. In 2012, Maison & Objet honored Yoshioka as Creator of the Year and was considered by Newsweek as one of the 100 most respected Japanese in the world.
LOUIS VUITTON presents the Tokujin Yoshioka Blossom Stool at DesignMiami/2016, which will be available for purchase (price upon request) through January.
